photoblog image The Hour of Death

The Hour of Death

I walked past this trembling bird positioned upside down and I knew it was about to die so I took a picture of it using my phone. I think the light gives the picture a new meaning. What do you think? It reminds me of the prayer Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen

Lucky to have died in the 'light'…narrowly escaping the surrounding 'darkness’. Thankfully, ours isn't a matter of luck but of choice. A privilege that is often not realised or highly disregarded.
Excellent shot. As you mention definitely strong religious overtones--I think we can all attach our own stories to this one.
